Started at Boggy Nature Park in Port O’Connor at the north end of 3rd Street. Paddled 12 miles from Boggy Bayou, north along the shoreline of Matagorda Bay and into Powderhorn Lake. Beautiful day with mild winds mostly at our backs. Allan Berger, Texas Master Naturalist & SABP Chair gave an informative presentation about the history, ecology and environmental importance of Powderhorn Ranch. Enjoyed snacks & refreshments at the take out at Coloma Creek Bridge on State Hwy 1289.
BIG Thank You to all who participated! It was a wonderful day on the bay!
