The Texas Coastal Bend Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation has named San Antonio Bay Partnership Volunteers as their Cleanup Hero for the month of November 2022. The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network. Each month the Skip the Plastic project of Surfrider Foundation recognizes community members and businesses that go out of their way to clean up their local park, neighborhood, or their favorite spot on the beach.
In October, SABP Volunteers boarded boats and kayaks, waded in the marshes and shorelines throughout San Antonio, Espiritu Santo and Matagorda Bays removing over 4 TONS of trash during the 2022 Shorelines Cleanup event. Our volunteers are hard working, dedicated folks who deserve recognition and SABP could not be more pleased and proud! Thank you volunteers and Surfrider for this recognition and support!
