2019-May Boggy Beginner Paddle

On Sunday, May 26, 2019 paddlers from Houston, Sugar Land, Victoria, and Austin joined us on a 2 mile beginner paddle at Boggy Nature Park in Port O’Connor. As we paddled up the creek we enjoyed the birds flying, fish jumping and the wind blowing just enough to test our endurance! After the paddle we indulged in a hardy lunch and folks learned about the value of the wetland habitat during the ecology of the wetland talk. The group got to see the critters that live in the water (pulled from a seine and into a touch tank), and the plants specially adapted to this wet, salty environment.
