2015 Annual ReviewThe close of 2015 marked another very successful year for the San Antonio Bay Partnership. Over the last year, SABP has had successful initiatives related to K-12 and public education, freshwater inflows, and public access and public use/recreation.  We are proud of the results that have been achieved with the help of our many partners and sponsors, and we would like to share some of these accomplishments with you.

In the annual review, you fill find stories on:

  • Texas Floating Classroom comes to both Seadrift and Port O’Connor
  • Hands-on education program reaches over 600 students and teachers
  • New Birding Team developed for 3-8th Grade students at Austwell-Tivoli ISD
  • Tours featuring Smithsonian bird-banders provided at Powderhorn Ranch
  • Port O’Connor Paddling Trail expansion officially opens
  • SABP continues to host excursions for local paddlers and begins an effort to identify new paddling trails with partners
  • Evaluation of strategies for enhancing freshwater inflows to the San Antonio-Guadalupe Estuary
  • Identification of suitable locations to place water wells for the benefit of Whooping Cranes during droughts
